Christmas Party

Story Reading

Julia Is Very Strong

Julia has being  school for two weeks since the beginning.

Yesterday evening, when we were preparing the corn making, Julia talked with me.”Mummy, I felt very lonely at school, when we played in the playground, no one played with me, I was always alone.” She was so tearing when she said that. I hold her and tried to comfort her. I told her she would make some friends in the very near future. I asked her to study English harder then she could talk with her classmates and teachers. She didn’t cry out. This let me so touched. She was very strong because when i asked her whether she still wanted to go to school tomorrow she said of course yes.

Actually, I felt very very sad. This would be so difficult for anyone. I almost cried when I talked with her. But i let my tears go back. I need to be much stronger at this time.

I need to do something. I sent her teacher  an email to let her know Julia’s feelings at school and asked for advices what else we can do to help her feel included.

Her teacher Mrs Kerber replied me very fast. And she said  she will talk with some girls in class tomorrow morning about including her at recess.  And she had also let school guidance counselor and Julia’s English language teacher notice Julia’s situation.

Hopefully, all of  us can come up with some ways to get Julia involved with her classmates.

For kids, I’m sure it is very hard for anyone to get adjust to a new school. Especially for language changing, Julia already did very goof job. And the most important thing is she never showed giving up and never said nagative  words and she kept trying hard. “Julia is very strong “.  Daddy said. “Yes, I’m so touched and I’m so proud of her.”I replied.

Julia’s First Day to Go to School

After all the register, insurance, bus, English test, lunch program and paper things done, today Julia could go to her elementary school finally.

We got up at 7:20, after washing and dressing up and breakfast, we were ready to go……

A very sunny  day and very cold in the morning……

Julia was just like her normal  days. It seems like she have been in school for a long time. She played chasing shadow games with me on the way to school bus stop which is just 5 mins walk from our apartment.

IMG_9566 IMG_9567 IMG_9568

The first day the big day, so Daddy and Mummy should  definitely both show up.

IMG_9569

I don’t know what did she feel in the morning. Nervous? Looking forward to? Whatever, when the bus came, she jumped up without any hesitate. She waved her hand and say Byebye to me. She was the only one on that bus when she got in. Was she afraid since this was her first time to by bus by herself? I didn’t see any expressions on her face. Oh my god, she is so brave, so out of my imagine.

IMG_9570

This morning, she asked me,”Mummy, could you please write the bus number down for me and put it in my backpack. I’m afraid maybe I’ll forget the bus number then I couldn’t come home to meet you and Daddy.” How adorable  she is! Actually, i don’t need to do that because her teacher will take care all of them. Since she asked, i just did what she wanted.

She is so brave. I still want to emphasis that. I’m so touched  and  so proud of her. Wish her have a good time at school! I miss her!I just can’t wait to go to the bus stop to pick her up!

To be continued….

HAHA,this was what she looks like when we picked her up. How happy she was! Mummy’s worry this whole day is not necessary……

University of Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is an industrial city in southwestern Pennsylvania, where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers join to form the Ohio River。University of Pitt  is undoubted one of the best university here.  I am so glad to be a student here.

Here is the building of School of Education. Doesn’t it looks like a shopping mall?IMG_9449

You can study wherever you want.

Study Lounge in dormitory area which student can come in at 8:00 and will be ask to leave at 12:00 midnight. Is this we all dreamed for a long long time?

IMG_9526 IMG_9535Ok, I need to stop here. I still have another one year to tell you the details. Educational Psychology is not easy for me. I couldn’t get all the things that professor said in the class. Notebook is hard. The slides are hard too. I need to preview first and then review after.  But the good thing is I learnt a lot here and I have my family accompany me for studying. Isn’t it great?

Settle Down

Look!
IMG_9476

Dinnertime,Julia

IMG_9473

晚餐快结束的时候,又有小动物来光顾了,三只小鹿结伴来我们阳台外散步,呵呵,how cute they are and how nice here is!

IMG_9479
